Novel Manager collects no data. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party data-collecting SDK. There is no developer-operated server of any kind. All books and reading data are stored on your device. If you turn on optional iCloud sync, your data is stored only in your own private iCloud database — the developer cannot access or read it. Photos you choose as covers stay on-device, and an image is only saved to your Photos library when you explicitly choose to save it. Novel Manager has no accounts and no sign-in.
The developer retains nothing, because nothing is ever sent to a developer-controlled server —
there is no developer-held retention period to state. Content on your device is retained until you
delete a book in the app or delete the app itself, which removes its local store. Data synced to
iCloud lives in your own private iCloud database and is removed by deleting content in the app
(which syncs the deletion to iCloud) or by removing this app's iCloud data from iOS Settings.
Files you export — .novelpack backups, TXT or EPUB exports, or images saved to
Photos — leave the app's control at the moment of export and persist wherever you saved them until
you delete them there.
iCloud sync is the only optional data flow in Novel Manager, and it operates under Apple's iCloud consent, not a separate developer consent. You can withdraw it at any time by turning sync off in the app's Settings or by signing out of iCloud — the app continues to work entirely on-device afterward. Because the developer holds no account and no server-side copy of your data, there is nothing to submit a data-deletion or data-access request against; we state this plainly rather than offering a request address that would go nowhere.
Exported .novelpack files are UNENCRYPTED archives of your library — anyone who has
the file can read its contents. Keep exported backup files somewhere safe.
